Well thats a pretty diverse list...Fairly poppy by rock standards though I suppose...Hmmm...This is a toughie...The best starting point though would be the Velvet Underground, the first alt band, they really influenced the Doors. The Stone Roses and Primal Scream could also be good for a bit of psychadelica...It might sound a bit weird, but if you like Weezer give the Beach Boys, or Brian Wilson a spin...Rivers Cuomo is a modern day version of him anyway. As for Motley Crue....Just destroy their CDs, its for your own good trust me. Although you should look into this new band called Towers Of London if you ARE a big Crue fan. Hope thats some help...as for what to define your music as, don't, it means youre not constraining yourself to genres.

Jeez thats the longest Ive gone without making any kind of Jewish joke....

As was mentioned earlier, that is a pretty diverse list. Here are some bands I enjoy that maybe you would too (based on what you listed):

R.E.M.
Chevelle
The Eagles
Pink Floyd

If you could be a little more spacific, I could make some more detailed recommendations.
