Some mod on MTV once told bout his childhood: He used to record the songs he heard on the radio. He created his own tapes and cuz he didn't know all the songtitles, he wrote down any line he understood. Do ya know this one song "Down Under" by Men At Work? They used to sing: "Do u come from a land down under?". This certain mod understood: "Do u come from a lender-landa?" So the name of his tape was "Lender-Landa".

Oh man I forgot about this one and don't know why I remember it today (but probably because I was picking up Chinese food)

In soundgardens "Outshined" he says "Show me the power child, I'd like to say
That I'm down on my knees today."

I misheard him and asked on the boards I was on back then "Hey whats the song from soundgarden where he sings 'I like the power chow, I'd like to say..."

The post after it was a correction and an answer, the one after that was "lol@powerchow" and the posts follow in that vein from there on.

I don't know what the hell i was thinking other than to say, it was the 90's lyrics like "dog food skulls and the beefcake pantyhoes" were the norm.

I cant listen to Juicebox [Strokes] anymore, cause when he says "Why wont you come over here" I cant hear it as anything but "why wont you come venir" which is like, crazy assed mixed languages that makes no sense.

He is pretty inaudible at times.
