The Random Album Club

Basically an offshoot of the original club, but a whole lot less up itself. I'll randomise what albums are chosen (probably using the link below and then we can talk about the album as much or as little as we want. Anyone can join in, and there'll be no time limit on when you can comment on albums, unlike the current Album Club.

Since it's supposed to be random why don't you just make the picks with some kind of randomater?

Because I've always thought it's only fair to allow people to participate first who signed up first. I mean, if GD had not posted I would have watched this thread sink to the bottom of the page and on to obscurity. So he gets second go, after me. It's only right.

Negatory. We're all selecting an album. We'll use that link in the OP to select an album which could be one we know, one we've never heard of, completely random. And then we'll all listen to it and say what we thought of it. I'll go first, then GD, then OH and so on. Everyone will get a turn.

Yup. We can do that. The thing is, with separate threads there won't be the pressure to complete your comments on the album by a certain date. You can keep jumping in and out of threads as you like. You might get a little tired, though...
