Daniel Lopatin, better known as Oneohtrix Point Never, and Ishmael Butler of Shabazz Palaces and Digable Planets are joining forces. I, for one, am excited to see how it'll turn out.

That is interesting

My take from that clip is that the vocals are mixed way too loud. For that to work the raps need to blend into the sonic landscape. Be a part of it, not the focus.

I wonder if Butler is trying to move away from Shabazz Palaces stylistically (or if that was even his choice), because I've seen a lot of people say that he gets too lost in the mix on Black Up.
