So maybe I'll go back to my writing forum where I was actually appreciated, even if my writing is s***. Pet, sorry man; I was looking forward to working with you but I can no longer belong to a forum where even the mods don't have to have a semblance of respect for others.
Sorry to hear about your mother passing. I can't imagine what you're going through inside. My heart goes out to you. Take good care of yourself.

What are you talking about? Pet_Sounds hasn't gone; Rubber Soul was just telling him that, as he's leaving himself, he won't be able to work with Pet on the project they had intended. That's all.

The last post in Pet Sounds "Trash Heap" journal does seem to say that he's leaving for good. Job reasons, plus that he says he mostly listens to classical music these days.

What finally pushed me over the top was the treatment of rubber soul. Call him sensitive, emotional, or whatever you like: he should not have been bullied into leaving. Behind every avatar is a human, and members here would do well to remember that. We were planning a joint journal, which would have kicked off today. Obviously, that's not going to happen

You and I have had pretty damn heated exchanges, and Frownland has pushed me to the edge on occasions, but I've responded to that this year with a kind of mixture of Zen and ****-you. It's the only way to deal with it. You don't matter, I don't matter: in a matter of decades people will be walking over my grave and wondering who the **** is buried there, that nobody leaves flowers, and you'll be the same, so what the hell does it matter? Sadly, some other people don't seem to be able to see this and it's now resulted in two members leaving. Really unfortunate. You could try toning the ****iness back a little, not that you will, but it certainly doesn't help.

Now

I've finally managed to give this a listen, and initially I thought it was very pleasant and was ready to give it a reasonably high rating, however I did find that after a while the songs seemed to drag and it got quite irritatingly boring. Someone said there are different singers? Sounds like the same one to me. The closer was excellent though.

I have nothing invested in this: I don't know who Laura Nyro is, and I'm not, as you know, a jazz fan, so I won't be joining in the debate as to whether this is a good representation of her work or jazz in general. I really don't care. I can't say I understand where the vitriol from Hawk and, to some extent, Frown comes from, but that's their business. Anyone who puts up an album here risks it being discombobulated, that's the chance we all take, and as I said somewhere else (or maybe here) most of mine have met this fate. So I guess if you can't take your album being trashed don't suggest it.

For me, I'd give this an okay rating of 6/10. Started well, got boring, ended well. That is all.
