Hah, actually I had a lovely 1 hour 45 minute bus ride listening to some crappy babyshambles compilation CD not soon after I posted that.

Id rather have stayed in the dark about them, to be honest.

Babyshambles lead Pete Doherty is a decent enough writer(lyrical wise), but a TERRIBLE singer, he shouldn't even be let near a studio or a microphone for that matter.

Nah. It's for a few people who think they know what's "cool" and "hip" to pick a record that a small number of people have bought, based entirely on the "image" of the band, regardless of the contents of the cd.

Hence garage records winning it for a couple of years, then a pasty faced set of NME rock types, and now this androgynous mess.
