Good screamo bands (dancing, volume, songs)

Well, listen to Jimmy Eat World from 1994, '95 ect. It is indie-emo. Or emo.

And yes, Circle Takes the Square is better than we can possibly make them out to be.

im not sure when Bleed American came out, but that album is AMAZING. every song. and futures isnt terrible.

but i have heard good things about Clarity...I'll have to buy it.

also

i'll check out circle takes the square(how old are they?)

They're fairly new, I think their demo came out in like 2000.

I think CTTS are a little overrated. They're good, but there are a lot of Screamo bands I like more.

first off CTTS is NOT overrated they write the best lyrics in the gebre and they dont care about image in a world where all these little scene baby's bands are popular only because they where the most makeup its refreshing to see bands like circle and planes as far as screamo the only band that doesnt either just sing or just scream is effin at the drive in

Meh, I can see where shes coming at. CTTS do tend to get alot of hype in the scene, but they also get alot of hate for being "overproduced". I still fucking love them and think they bring alot to the table.

Of course CTTS are going to be "the best" if you compare them to most of the stuff that gets passed off as Emo/Screamo these days, but they're NOT better than City of Caterpillar, Saetia, or a number of other Screamo bands.

I've never understood why As the Roots Undo gets so much praise, it just sounds like your typical Screamo to me. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing, but I don't really see how they stand out from the crowd.

The lyrics pwn & its a beautifully constructed album, and I really like kathy/drew's voices. But yeahhh, it aint any better then a retrospective. I do prefer it over CoC's work though.
