Circle Takes the Square should be going on about now. Why am I not there? I was in a car accident about 30 miles from Syracuse. I've been standing on the New York State Thruway for 2 hours waiting for a tow truck. I just got home.

I have a splitting headache after we were run off the road into a ditch about 3 feet from a large tree. And I'm pissed as ****ing hell that I'm missing this. I'm going to get a phone interview with them once I get back to school, so I should have an interview around about the same time as I would have gotten this one, had it not been for my mishap.

EDIT: It might be whiplash....fantastic.

hope your ok

I saw them last night on their final part of their mini tour. They were awesome of course. I was amazed at all the equipment they had and the fact that the place they played almost sold out lol. I had to sit through 3 ex-pg. 99 bands that were subpar including pygmy lush who only played soft new stuff(I wish they wouldve played more of their loud stuff). Dawn Treader played first though and they were really kickass though.

When you do the interview with CTTS, tell them there are better bands from that state, like Portrait (and the obv. I Would, but Portrait = loving more and more the past year, ****ing legendary yet forgotten).

Oh, and yes, that's not a question, it's just a statement to shove down their throat. Portrait rules them.

Hope you're kidding,Portrait is pretty good but can't hold the comparison next to such complexity and epic-ness that Circle Takes the Square has.
I'm listening to the Portrait discography right now and it's far from being as good as CTTS,IMHO.

Seriously, in some parts, Drew just sounds like he's trying to write intelligent-sounding lyrics rather than make an intimate song.
Even though songs like "Same Shade" and "Kill the Switch" are epic, Jeff Burgoon was very punctual, and still more heartfelt, in songs like "Missing the Shore" (And he said it wasn't worth it if I made you feel like you're everything).
Both amazing bands nonetheless.
