rites of spring and saetia are the REAL emo. but it has spawned of into screamo and such. like thursday, the used, my chemical romance. im sure someone will say my idea of emo is wrong. out of all of those thursday is definetly emo.

thanks for the link...although as i gather from reading it , emo is defined as a genre of music beacuse of the lyrical content..beacause it deals with emotional stuff?well a lot of stuff can fit into that description..i've never heard of a genre of music being defined by the lyrics, i thought its supposed to be the music type that counts
