singing lessons...orrrrrr, practice if you'll be singing original songs then you're gonna have to like sing a C when you need to and then there are C# etc etc etc if you can't afford lessons I'm sure there are DVD's or something out there...if you play an instrument I guess it'd be easier cause your ears'll get used to it...

ya, just lots of practice is really the only thing you can do. sing along in the car or wherever you have a chance and you'll improve.

scream. belt it. go all out. thats what real emo bands do and it sounds awesome. rarely can people in emo bands actually sing, but if you do what you do with conviction and you have tons of fun then it is awesome.

From quite a bit of experience, singing in the car is quite different than actually singing in a band. The best thing you can do is join a choir, maybe your schools? It might not be that much fun, well, unless you get some friends to do it with you, but you will get much better at singing.

Screaming is just something you gotta do. Its also very fun. As for singing -back in the day, I would hum to AFI. Davey has such a range it help to develop my voice. I can sing pretty good too. Just like strech your voice, to fit how you think the singer is doing that. Then you'll be ready. And voice lessons help a little.
