Real Hardcore (punk, genre, quote)

Does anyone actually appreciate Hardcore music, I'm not talking about this new screaming **** that basically has disgraced real hardcore music and the staples of hardcore music.

Well anyway does anyone like real hardcore music like the Gorilla Biscuits and so on?

I never really considered alot of screamers hardcore.

What I meant was before it broke down into all those sub-genres, and was just hardcore, like the Refused, Gorilla Biscuits and Minor Threat.

Hardcore was being broke down and restructured by the mid/late 80s refused was along after that. Refused also origingally took alot of heat from traditional hardcore fans on there non traditional aproach to the music. Dont get me wrong I love refused but calling them original hardcore is pretty far fetched. I think the scene your trying to get to is 80s american hardcore i.e. Minor Threat,Government Issue,DRI,MDC, White Cross, Dead Kennedys, Teen Idles, Regan Youth, Circle Jerks, etc. etc. In which case yes, people here like it search for any of the above bands mentioned and you will more than likely find a thread, so PLEASE dont start another one.

REAL hardcore is exactly as it sounds, don't try to pull any fundementalist crap with me, the beginnings of HxC were meager at BEST.... what with bands like minor threat that blew royally... Gorilla biscuits? Earth Crisis? Vegan Reich? Lame.... Lamer...Lame.... REAL TRUE Hardcore is about the feeling, not sucking your ass off.... come on now.... band that do it right have the talent, the musicianship and the ear, just because they were'nt born in the 60's grew up listening to the doors, and the clash, and ozzy, though he is the man of course, doesn't mean they can't truly be hardcore, it's an instinct, not a bastion that your dumbasss gets to play seige the castle with... go find some unearth, as i lay dying, terror....then come back to me and speak.... read up son.
