The song is indie rock, not the whole cd....Indie rock is basically rock music not associated with many other bands. So basically the band is doing its own thing, but there is other types of indie music. Indie in almost any catogory is known, except indie rap, i haven't heard that one before

Here's a defenition i got after trying to look for one (i can't seem to put it in the right words). Hopefully this will help you out.

One, such as a studio or producer, that is unaffiliated with a larger or more commercial organization.

Yeah I got it, they have their own style. Doesn't fit into a "Music Category".

I thought Indie was that really slow rock that is like.... SUPER Emo-ish.. but thats just me so maybe I'm wrong

ugh, a lot of indie sounds like that, but it is not defined to that region. but if you listen to 10 indie songs, 7 of them probably will sound like what you described
