Excellent Singer/Songwriter from LA.
For fans of: Rufus Wainwright, Andrew Bird, Jon Brion, Jeff Buckley Songs I'd Recommend: "Lovely Night", "The Novelist" (both can be heard on his site) I mentioned in the National/CYHSY thread that Richard Swift opened for them. It could just be because of how disappointed I was in CYHSY, but I actually liked Swift a lot more than I liked them. He played the Troubadour about a week or two ago and it sold out, and The Novelist / Walking Without Effort was #9 on Rough Trade's top 100 albums of 05. He has a new album coming out this Spring, but I haven't heard much about it. |

Bumping is a form of rape. But, not bad, the beginning of Lovely Night is nice. Andrew Bird PWNslaps this guy though. Let's talk about Andrew Bird instead.
