Steve Albini
The man, the myth, Steve Albini. If you don't know who he is, take a moment to observe this list:
The Pixies The Breeders Tad Helmet Silkworm Nirvana PJ Harvey Dazzling Killmen Superchunk Gastr Del Sol Melt Banana Guided By Voices Pansy Division The Ex Jimmy Page & Robert Plant Nine Inch Nails Low Flogging Molly Mogwai Neurosis Godspeed You Black Emperor! F-Minus Leftover Crack Gogol Bordello Slint Those are just some of the bands that I know of unlike the Auteurs of whom I have never heard for whom Steve Albini has been sound engineer. The man is a legend. He has left his unique sonic style on many great records, including In Utero, Surfer Rose, and Tweez. Aside from being one of the most incredible audio engineers on the planet, he has been in several really great bands, including Big Black, Rapeman, and Shellac. What do you guys think? A god? Overrated? Who cares?

But anyway, Steve Albini is the biggest ****ing nerd on the planet. I'm serious, search YouTube for live Big Black, there's the funniest video of them playing live. He's amazingly scrawny, yet filled with RAGE! He'd probably be able to kick anyones ass he wanted to by screaming at them. I love him.
