Never to be heard from, never to be seen
I check the cover of a magazine
I'm just wondering how, just wondering how

Been listening to them and their off shoots A LOT the last few months...

Kings of Convenience best album is Riot On An Empty Street, but their Versus album is definately worth getting with all the great remixes on there.

Erlend Øye's solo work is also very good. It's more mike Versus as mostly collaborations with other artists, many electronica. DJ Kicks is very, very good (my fav. chill out out back ground music lately).

Whitest Boy Alive is Erlend Øye's new band and worth check out too. It's more traditional music but a lot of similarties to KOC.

Ahh I really love Kings of Convenience. :]

I find their sound very unique and quite calming and serene, almost.

I personally love Quiet Is the New Loud. Very soothing, almost Simon and Garfunkel-esque in places. And yer man Erland certainly looks like Napoleon Dyanamite.

Ah, this was the thread I was going to search for yesterday. I forgot. Mark & Lard introduced me to them when Quiet Is The New Loud came out and my father went and got it and I borrowed it lots. I really miss Mark & Lard's show...

Anyway, that one's my favourite album and I'm quite surprised that it's not got the majority vote.

Toxic Girl made me want to learn to play the guitar but I never got any further than wanting.

Whitest Boy Alive had their debut show in the UK last night... was at a small bar in Hoxten. I got there an hour or so before hand with some friends but sadly we didn't make it in. Erlend was outside handing out badges to everyonoe in the queue tho...

I HATE when you can't get presale tickets... I did see them in Barcelona this summer at Summercase and it was GREAT. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Really? I love it when band members get involved with their fans like that.
