Default The Blind Melon Tribute Album

There is an exciting album being released this year. It is a special Tribute to Blind Melon - a band that was heading for a huge future until a very tragic death ended their magical journey. Singer Shannon Hoon was found dead of a cocaine overdose on October 21, 1995 in New Orleans.

Friends, Family & Fans will never forget what the band achieved in such their short history, and YakMusic in New Zealand are putting together TWENTY STORIES BELOW - a very special Tribute to a band that gave us so much.

The artists have been chosen and the Pre-Release Tracklisting
(in no particular order) is as follows:

Jamie Shields – Deserted
David Aaron – Life Aint So ****ty
Exposed in the Drawing Room – Soak the Sin
MoeDell – Toes Across the Floor
Spider – Mouthful of Cavaties
Easily Amused - Dear Ol' Dad
Flames of Troy – Galaxie
Jena Kraus – Change
Kurt Vatland w/ Defuze – Pull
The Velmas – New Life
12 Daze – Glitch
Superextra - 2x4
The Holy Crabs – Letters From a Porcupine

(tracklisting is subject to change without notice)

Song Samples from each song are now available to listen to HERE! Check them out now!

I saw blind melon supporting someone years ago.
They were bloody awful.

Mind you , it was funny when their lead singer tried a singalong with the crowd and NOBODY joined in
Thats`ll teach bands that are 5th on the bill ( IE Last ) to get ideas above their station.

I imagine that would have been a while back before they became a bit more popular - wish I had seen them live - maybe not on that particular night though

I always thought Tones of Home was their best song and everything else I could really just take or leave.

Blind Melon were more popular in America, rather then anywhere else in the world.
there music was short lived.
many bands aren't good performing live, more so in areas of which they are least popular.

You'll be suprised then at how popular they actually were around the world....the interest from overseas for this project has been from all over.
