I agree, although that said I do still enjoy Crooked Rain considerably.

I wasn't that into Slanted when I first heard it. Didn't listen to Pavement for about 4 months after that, then I went to a Dinosaur Jr show and saw a hot chick with a Pavement t-shirt on, and went home and relisted to it. Lovely.

S&E was the first album of theirs that I heard/bought and I loved it from the bat, so naturally I kept that whole nostalgia thing about it for a bit but after listening to all of their albums several times, it's pretty obvious that Wowee Zowee is their best work of art, and I'd honestly put Crooked Rain at #2.

It has been out for a while but has anyone got the Wowee Zowee 2 disc edition. I picked up for £5 about 6 weeks ago and I am slowly but surely getting through it and digesting it all. What a great package and possibly my favourite of theirs.

Aye, i got that recently too and put off playing it for a bit because the packaging was too nice!
I haven't given it enough of a listen naturally but the live studio stuff on there is great, same with the live show on the bonus disc with Slanted and Enchanted.
