Ben Gibbard: "Roger Waters Doing Dark Side Would Be Like Ringo Performing Sgt. Pepper's" - Stereogum
"Roger Waters doing DSOTM would be like Ringo performing Sgt. Peppers.". Boo boo, lol.

New album is completely amazing, it shows just how creative they are as musicians only problem is it shows Ben's voice as kind of weak in parts, but those moments are few.

I don't see what's funny about it? Maybe a more apt comparison would be George Harrison but since George is just as competent (maybe even more so) than Paul or John it would be moronic plus George isn't bad just under appreciated. But yeah look at the banal crap that is Roger Waters's solo material or maybe even just the Wall and his point's pretty valid.

Anyway start the pitchfork betting now, I'm betting its between 5 and 6.

I have yet to see Death Cab, live... I have wanted to see them though, and considering that I love their ,usic you can guess that I am always mad when I miss them everytime they come to town.

Death Cab is amazing. Their songs are all so beautiful and melodic.
Still, I like The Postal Service more. The electronic sound is better, in my opinion.

I love Ben Gibbard, especially with Death Cab but Postal Service is really great too. He's got a solo career going on, right? I think I've read that he was going to record a solo album.

He's been doing live solo shows for awhile and he has a live album out. I wouldn't be surprised if he announced he's doing one and if he hasn't yet its only a matter of time. Though he has alot on his plate what with the recent release of Narrow Stairs and a follow up to Give Up.
