i hated them when i first heard them, but their kind of infectious. i didn't like transatlanticism too much though, its probably one of the most depressing albums i've ever heard.

There's a Death Cab thread a page back. You didn't even have to look very far.

I think most of their stuff is boring and the epitome of mediocre, but at least The Photo Album is pretty good.

It's a great band though I didn't like Plans as much as I liked The Photo Album which is their best album at the moment.

Death Cab For Cutie is one of my favorites. I recently bought Transatlanticism and Plans- both excellent. Title and Registration and Tiny Vessels are probably my favorites.

Wow, people are pretty angry in this thread.

Anywho, their name and fan base gave me an ugly feeling about them, then I heard a couple of songs. I guess I like the more for their unique sound, and by unique I mean they don't attempt to be another band. Their refrains seem to be the most devestating of any band out today.

I can't explain that, it just is...to me at least.
