I'm going to have to agree, I've listened to the album a few times and I'm at a loss to understand the hype/love.

well now that part of the truth has been spoken, ima have to comment myself.

this album is about half really good, and about half pretty dull. i admit that it has some great tunes on it, but there's nothing new here. i'd rather listen to even the worst of elliott smith's releases.

Hell, when I first started listening to Bon Iver the first thought that struck me was, this sounds one hell of a lot like Elliott Smith.
