Let's go back to how this started. This is an incredibly ironic post when you match it with an earlier one and a later one in the same thread. Irony++

Anyway, I still fail to see how D1ckinson screeches. I'm open to opinions, but seriously, our ears aren't biologically different. Give me an example.

And you may not like his singing, but it doesn't make it "crap". There's a difference. Someone may not like the Beatles, but it would be ignorant to say "The Beatles suck. They're crap" when you consider their influence/originality. However, there's nothing wrong with saying "I don't like the Beatles".

you're quite right actually, one minute i claim that different things mean different things for different people and another i can't understand it myself ( mainly how anyone can enjoy iron maiden ), quite right....i could of course take the high road and say that in that case, no music sucks, but let's be real here, we all have our opinions on music, if i don't like a certain band or singer, i say it's crap, and i even differentiate it, for example certain bands or singers are simply bland to me, but iron maiden is one of those bands that i despise with a passion, i can't reationalize it so don't ask me too, just like you can't rationalize why you like them.....and our ears may not be biologically different but our brains are obviously unique and they respond to music in different ways....for you, iron maiden induces pleasure, for me? i cringe every time i hear them.....

Thier good, but I don't think they deserve the worship that they get. I mean, personally, I like a handful of their songs, but if you put all the ones I don't like together you'd have a 5 hour album that sounded like Sigur Ros. That is to say, dreamscape mumblings that may or maynot be in an actual language, and there is no emotional swell in lyrics or music, ever.
