I don't love Ashlee Simpson, I just think anyone can be better than Dream Theater without trying.

Radiohead isn't particually weird, compared to say Captain Beefheart or even The Residents or to an extent GG Allin.

Nah, GG as a person maybe, but not as a musician, he played standard punk stuff, he wasnt really that unique music wise.

Dont get me wrong i like GG.

I would agree with that. I love his country style music, it's most of what I listen to by him. Alot of his other music kind of sucks as's.

My french teacher listens to Radiohead.

She's southern white trailer trash. She thought Stereolab was weird. Radiohead aren't really very out there.

I guess the avant-jazz stuff does throw you off a little, and maybe I've just listened to too much weird music and am completely detached, but for the most part it seems like a pretty listener friendly song. Basic drumbeat, basic bassline, spacy synth reminescent of Neu!, and lightly distorted vocals.

I guess the reason I don't see Radiohead as "weird" is because while I'm listening to it there is no element to the music that really puts me off. If you really listen to it I guess you can hear some "strange" elements that people aren't used to appearing in mainstream music, but it never really feels weird while you're listening to it.

I guess it might just be me.

i dont think radiohead is that weird but i listen to industrial. they are by far the most interestesting brit-pop band. their loud soft progressive style in a 4 minute song is awesome.
ok computer is kick ass, and fuss deserves to be made.
