I don't know the Damned's Version.
I have their first album (Damned Damned Damned) on blue Vinyl. But apart from that I don't know much about the damned. Should do something about that.

About Two silver Trees: I was disappointed the first time I heard it. But I got used to it and I like the song now. But I do still prefer their more experimental work

I actually made a Calexico Compilation (Called Collexico, ha-ha...) of my favourite songs.
So here goes:

Quote:
Calexico - Collexico

1. Sunken World Waltz (Feast of Wire)
2. The Ride (Pt. II) (The Black Light)
3. Slowness (Carried to Dust)
4. El Gatillo Carried to Dust)
5. The Ballad of Cable Hogue (Hot Rail)
6. The News about William (Carried To Dust)
7. Très Avisos (Hot Rail)

Have Calexico got any other songs in a similar vein to "Black Heart" ? That's a terrific tune.

Quite a disappointment, if you ask me. First Calexico album I generally dislike.

Well, it's the worst they did so far. Perhaps that's a better way to describe it.

not that huge a fan

i wish there were more songs with vocals cos the instrumentals really aren't that great, i mean, they don't go where Morricone already went with the spaghetti Western soundtracks
