I really liked Why Modern Radio is A-Ok, but they say was pretty slow and bored me. I decided to listen to their album, too much slide guitar for me on the second song; I kind of wanted to puncture my eardrums with a pencil (slide guitar usually sounds like nails on a chalkboard to me).

Understandable.
I'm a big fan of slower tempos sometimes but I think that goes back to my pot smoking days when my main criteria for what music to listen to was how 'chill' it was. What did you think of a Heartbeat? That was probably my favorite song on the album. |

I thought Modern Radio is A-OK, They Say, and Starting From Scratch were the best songs. Heartbeat was pretty good, but it sounded a bit generic and just didn't interest me as much as those three.
One More Road, Big Light, I Was A Fool, and the last track are the ones that really make me dislike the album. It wasn't really a bad album, it just had some country undertones at times that really didn't do it for me. |
