If On Avery Island didn't have Pree-Sisters Swallowing A Donkey's Eye it would be just as good as In the Aeroplane Over the Sea.

If you get really into their main albums you might want to check out Jeff Mangum's solo live album "Live at Jittery Joe's". People who are new to the group might think it sounds like alot of whiney crap, but those who are already familiar with their stuff will definately enjoy it.

On Avery Island, that's about it unless you want to get into really lo-fi tape demos and live bootlegs.

cheers, avery island it will be.

btw, would anybody who feels they have a good understanding of two-headed boys be up for doing their own line-by-line interpretation of it? i'd be really interested to read it if anybody were to take it up.

Jeff Mangum wrote a lot about fucked up dreams he had/The Diary of Anne Frank. I would say read the diary but in this case it won't help even if it did, it's a pretty dull book that doesn't go anywhere.
