Default Japanese techno

Japanese techno.

I'm a big fan of techno, specifically Japanese becuase it's more up my alley than American techno.

Some of the best music to come from Japan is techno. In my opinion it's becoming a little over looked with eveyrone wanting to learn English and dreaming of some day perhaps making it big in America (for reasons I'll never understand).

At any rate, here are my favorite techno musicians:
Fantastic Plastic Machine,
Denki Groove.
Puffy,
Pizzicato Five,
The Pillows
Arling and Cameron,
Gusgus,
Orbital

I highly recommend Orbital, The Pillows (who have made the cross over to English and are somewhat big im America), and Denki Groove

um . . . . . . .
Being the computer illiterate person that I am, my next best suggestion would probably to be to go a record store in your area and see if they have like an international section. . . .

And Japanese sites may not work on your computer if your computer does not recognize Japanese characters on Japanese sites.
It would also help if you could perhaps read Japanese.

Um, the Orbital techno band I'm thinking of is a British group. What are some albums the band you're talking about's released?

The Orbital I'm tinking of played at the Harajuku festival awhile ago.
I think they're originally from the UK (or something like that) but a lot of their stuff is played at dance clubs in Japan and has been "dubbed" over and over again by various djs in clubs in Honshu.
But they're really popular in Japan and I put them on the list because it made sense to at the time. Although now that you're making me think and battle brain freeze, I remember I should've put that they were not Japanese.
Which reminds me of a joke i heard somewhere about people being black when the lights go out or something.
I don't know how often they tour but the only times I've seen them was in Japan and I've seen them like 6 times already. They're really amazing. You might actually like them.
And if you like them you'll probably like Underworld too. And no they're not Japanese either. But they're pretty popular in Japan as well.

Thank you swim for making me do battle with the bottle and toothpaste.
Although I can't think why did i put them on this list?
I'll call you tomorrow

Ignoring the obviously drunken version of myself

Here are some more techno bands from Japan that are Japanese. I promise.
Buffalo Daughter (whose names sounds wierd even to me)
Hadaka no Rallizes (or Les Rallies Denude, as some prople call them)

Out of those two, Buffalo Daughter is probably most popular simply because they've been around longer and because people just like them. And they're better too. They're like veterans of techno over in Japan.

^ I'm partial to ZZ and I've only heard a few songs by DAI, one of which the theme to InuYasha.
I don't think they're as great as everyone thinks them to be but they're sufficient.
