Those are my favourites, I also like Led Zep, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kasabian, Jane's Addiction, Motorhead, Green Day, Metallica, Pink Floyd.

I'd stick with the second lot if I were you. The Musicbanter police have been known to shoot people on sight for saying they like Steve Vai or Joe Satriani.
