Alright, I used to be a drummer, and to make a long story short, I can't play anymore do to some complications. I love music though and I wanna stick with it, so I decided to stick with my second best thing...

Singing :P

I've been doing it for a month now, and hopefully one day I'll start my own band or something. I dunno, I was just wondering if anyone could give me some tips or anything that would be helpful. It'd be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: I just noticed that tips thread above me.... Lol. Either way they'd still be greatly appreciated, but sorry for starting this.

Welcome to MusicBanter Kristian.

I moved your thread from 'song writing' to here, which answers a couple of adidasss's questions.

I like any kind of music, I don't stick to any particular genre. If I like it, then I like it lol. But as of lately, I've been going to my friends house a lot and he's a drummer in a band, and he's been introducing me to a whole bunch of new bands. August Burns Red, The Album Leaf, Madina Lake, Mika (Which isn't really rock but they're cool) and a whole bunch of other artists. It also made me realize how much I want to stay with music, no matter what it is I do, and it looks like singing might be the thing for me. So yea, there's a little bit about myself lol.

And thanks for the welcome.

Howdy! I sing for a band occasionally (just for fun at my pub) I'd like to get into a real band though. Do you have a style? or a likeness to another singer?
What do you prefer to sing?

I'm still honing in on my personal style. Still more of an impressionist at the moment. I do a mean Bowie though and my style probably leans more towards him than anybody else.

What a waste! What a waste!
But I don't mind.
