Hey everyone, figured I'd make one of these threads so as to introduce myself. I'm going to University right now, and thought this website looked cool for talking about different artists and music topics in general. I like most kinds of music, though I suppose I mostly listen to rock, metal, punk type stuff. Thanks! I'm looking forward to contributing, and hopefully learning some more about music!

i'm a chemistry major, and i'm gonna do a minor in cinema-television. kind of random combination i know, but i think it'll lead to a diverse schedule at least haha.

i mostly listen to rock/metal, though a lot of people at school seem to like techno/electronica so i've learned a bit more about that as well.

some of my big favorites include:
Iron Maiden
Megadeth
X-Japan
Wintersun
Metallica
System of a Down
Muse
Mastodon
Led Zepplin
Children of Bodom
Buckethead
Aerosmith
Darkthrone
Emperor
Flogging Molly
Dream Theater
Jimi Hendrix
The Allman Brothers Band

in terms of techno/electronica, i've gotten somewhat into:
Daft Punk

Justice
Crystal Castles
Chemical Brothers
Tiesto
Darude

pretty scattered lists, just went through my music folders and picked out some of my big faves.

and i'd kind of expect there to be some pretentious *******s on here, it shows that this is a good forum if people are willing to put energy into making it worse lol.
