Hi everyone :) (member, title, quote, bands)

Hi everyone. I was just looking for a site where people could talk about the music they like, and not get bashed for it.

I guess I'll have to keep looking. I pretty much introduced myself in the demographics forum, so I won't repeat myself. I just wanted to say that there is alot of people bashing others for their music, and that's not cool. No one is going to like everything you like, and part of being a functioning member of society is recognizing and RESPECTING peoples opinions.

If you can't do that, then your probably not going to have a lot of friends. I didn't come here to bash people for their music, and it seems pretty silly to ask someone their opinion and then treat them like dogsh@t after they give it to you. Don't put down my music taste because it's not your own, we should embrace the different opinions of others. If everyone liked the same music it would be a boring world. I've only been here a few days, and from what I've seen so far no one really wants to hear others opinions, they just want to hear theirs. This isn't politics or religion, so why are we arguing over it? Each person is entitled to their own opinion of what they think is good. I'm really sorry to say that I don't think that many of you are doing a good job at respecting peoples individuality. That said, for any out there who have matured past the point of bashing on peoples musical taste because it's not your own, I am looking forward to talking to you. Peace.

Welcome to musicbanter, hope you stick around (even though it sounds as though you dont like it here!) Good luck trying to find a forum where there's no arguments about music, thats gonna be tricky... Anyways, welcome to the forums, have fun

i hate to admit it but theirs really no stopping them athough i do agree with you it is kinda stupid.

theres nothing wrong with questioning peoples tastes in bands, this called music BANTER after all. but i agree with you saying theres a lot of people disrespcting others. and that really really pisses me off. referring to some guys as "weirdos" as ive seen is just arsenine. hope you stick around. you seem to be capable of doing something a lot of people dont have the ability to do- grasping the concept of personal opinion and individuality.

i totally agree. i find it strange when some people just reply with cuss words as to just answering the question.
i probably should've done this, introduced myself. it would probably would've made me feel more welcome and post more!!
