Pot is not the root of all evil. Far from it but if someone is suffering ill health in their life and is using pot as a big part of it then maybe they need to lay off it. Simple as that. If they smoked, drank, did pot and acid then I would have been predujiced singling out a particular vice but as he has many health problems, maybe it would be advisable to eliminate a practice that is not always condusive to the human condition.

Hipsters are considered apathetic, pretentious, and self-entitled by other, often marginalized sectors of society they live amongst, including previous generations of bohemian and/or "counter-culture" artists and thinkers as well as poor neighborhoods of color.

Thanks man!

I agree. I make comments like that from time to time, merely suggesting that pot isnt good for you, but potheads wig out. They seem to think that because it isn't as bad as booze or butts, that they should be free from criticism.

And as far as it not being as bad as cigarettes...if you smoke weed every day thats at least as bad as cigarettes...the reason why its considered not as bad is the addictive factor.

Being an avid ganja fan myself, I don't think too many potheads feel that way. I'm convinced that it's more destructive than alcohol or cigarettes, but used in moderation I think it's safer than anything else you could do. I try to be realistic about being a pothead. Yeah, I smoke weed and I enjoy it, but I don't pretend that it's good for me or any nonsense like that. And realistically, I'm gonna have to quit eventually (unless I actually make it as a musician...lol), so I don't see why I should become emotionally attached to it.

I just wish that there were more objective studies about marijuana use. Too many propaganda campaigns float around and not nearly enough people who are actually interested in the effects and consequences of marijuana use.

@ brad
It could be argued that its worse than cigarettes if used in very large quantities; but like he said, the addiction isnt physical so its WAY easier to get over and not relapse.

@ lucifer
I never suggest that it is good for you or harm free, just that its a lesser of the evils and should be treated as an equal at least.

@thrice
if anything is certain about drugs its that they effect everyone differently. although it is hard to imagine someone not liking bud, different strokes for different folks. i mean look at all the **** music people listen to.
