Default Deathcountry/Swamp Rock/Dark-Blues/Dark-folk

Ok, ive recently got into Phillous Williams and im absolutely bowled over by the brooding, mournful, dark, deep sound fused with traditional roots. I want more of this. I know such artists as Hank Williams, Robert Johnson, Screamin Jay' Hawkins and hank wray have done similiar but im looking for a deeper, seedier sound. I know im being vague but can anybody help me out?

and while i slept this co-co came as naked as could be
he put on the skin and screwed on the head

Check out Hank Williams III and The Drive-By Truckers. Gillian Welch has some really dark songs as well, such as Caleb Meyer.

Do you have a cd of Phillous Williams? I'd love to have it. The songs on their myspace are amazing.

I listened to one of the Phillous Williams tracks and thought it was pretty good. Reminded me of some of Tom Waits' stuff.
