Vyacheslav Guyvoronsky, Andrei Kondakov & Vladimir Volkov

Criminally underappreciated (well, actually simply mostly unknown outside of Russia) modern jazz trio.

Default Recommended Jazz and Blues

Check out a group called Snarky Puppy

For a nice old school blues/jazz combination, try these tunes:

Mercy, Mercy, Mercy by Cannonball Adderley

Funk Blues: Chameleon

Thanks to rostasi ( see new sig), I have discovered what seems to be the endless cool of Abdullah Ibrahim, once known as Dollar Brand.
Get yourself a slice of mellow here:-

I am looking for something similar to Gallagher's "Irish tour" and Bloomfield/Cooper/Still 's "Super Session". Any suggestions?

Alrighty. Anyone wanna help me cheat on homework? Gotta find achievements, milestones, and influences on other artists set forth by Chick Corea. Looking at you Frowny. Thanks in advance.

I'll check that dictionary, but in the meantime I'm impressed - as is everyone else in the world - by your eloquence, obvious accomplishments and success, and the evidence of your blazingly high intelligence.

Mother****er was on Bitches Brew dude. That is some madness that turned the jazz world upside down. Return to Forever is pretty great, as is the Chick Corea Elektric Band. He influenced the jazz world by bringing goddamned scientology into it so there's also that.

I mean just listen to that and it should inspire you to go more in depth on your assignment.
