Default Need Help From A Real Historian...

I posted this in Country also but think someone with knowledge of Jazz and Blues can probably help me too...

I read a story in Newsweek around the beginning of 2005 or 2006 I believe in the Passing section about a 90 year old African-American woman who died having won three Grammys in I believe Country or perhaps Gospel. The amazing part of the story is that she started playing guitar at 60 years old and I for the life of me can't remember her name or find the issue of Newsweek that contained the clip...

It's an amazing feat and I would love to use the story to inspire my students.

Someone out there knows this...

Thanks!
