Default Respect Ronnie Laws

Im not saying anyone here disrespects him, but this man makes beautiful music and deserves more respect than he gets.

I wouldn't say he get little respect, he just falls into the lesser known part of 70s-80s era Jazz Fusion.

Bit like Roy Ayers.

Fans of the Funk respect the mans sax playing though I assure you.

Well, interestingly, you have two cuts from his first album,
but you don't have the overwhelming hit which was "Always There" -
something that you heard often on the radio then - and that lived
another life a dozen years later within the confines of acid jazz circles.
Even the title tune from his third album got more play than any of the three linked vids.
Good, crafty player with an eye for the jazz nickels, but I think his siblings -
especially Hubert were more interesting to me.
Kinda wished he had joined the CTI crowd back then.
(and what's with the out of tune "Life In Paradise" track?)
