Where do you prefer to be?

Namibia is a big country with a small population and a lot of it is either desert (the Namib desert) or 'might as well be desert' land, correct? Like most sub-saharan countries it has a low GDP per capita and a history of being colonised and mistreated by europeans (in Namibia's case I think it was mostly Germans and 'Boers', there was a documentary on last month in the UK about the massacres which the 2nd Reich carried out in Namibia at the beginning of the 19th century and which somehow history had swept under the carpet until recently). Its industry probably involves mining for precious metals and gemstones (like South Africa), maybe fishing as it has a long coastline and some farming, but less crop-growing than you see in your standard developing nation as most of the land is unsuitable for growing things. Is this right? What other things should we know about Namibia - I don't think that its a country which your typical American, European, Asian or Australasian (that's right aussies and kiwis, you're all the same hahahaha!) tends to dwell on, so maybe you could start by introducing us to the country.

When you're in Namibia where do you live? In a town or out in the countryside? How come you live in Sweden and Namibia, what's the background to this?

We know more about Sweden I think. Its cold, expensive, has fjords, most people live in the south as the north is freezing. There are probably some good rock bands and credible musicians around, but the only ones which make it abroad anymore are extremely dodgy pop-pap bands like Aqua (although, as I've been told many times before - by norwegians I might add - the lead singer is actually norwegian). The government charges huge taxes on everything so the living cost is very high but the living standard and provision of public services is also excellent. People in Sweden probably get drunk almost as much as we do in Britain?

bowing, lowering my eyes, that the most beauitful part of a woman should be a long neck, I follow boshido(way of the samurai), i want a traditional japanese house. and that the best thing for children is a good schooling, and i don't take insults to my honor very lightly

I was just curious about the range of things you studied in Japanese culture, because there's a lot to cover.

I don't think she was suggesting you wanted a fight. She means in Japanese culture people don't talk in aggressive tones unless they're actually being aggressive don't exchange 'friendly insults'. When she said this I don't think she was referring to you.
