Music Videos.Opinions (country, pop, white stripes, Backstreet Boys, quote)

Some are cool, I like watching the Foo Fighter videos, basically, you have to pick the right music programme to suit what kind of music and bands you want to watch.

Of course there are crap videos, but some people really enjoy them so who cares.

i watch music videos on launch a lot. i think they give you more of an insight into what the band was thinking when they wrote that particular song.

some of them do ruin the song though.

A good video is the best way to get a bad song airplay... Like this one song, I cant remember the song at all, but I remember there were lesbians in the video. It makes you want to see it again, so people vote for it. Hence, more people see it, more people like it, more people buy it. Tis good.

But yeah, part from that, Im all for music videos. I think if a band does a good job with it and it goes with the song itself, theres nowt wrong with it... Hows it ruin the song, can I ask, PTS?

well, think of this... when a video doesnt follow the song, or at least you think it doesnt, then it confuses you as to the meaning of the song. i guess they dont ruin the song as much as just distort the meaning of the song. at least..thats my take on it.

I think right now the worst video i have ever seen in the last couple of years was that greenday one....when september ends.....there is like 6 minutes of dramaticy and talking...like wtf...its a music video not soap opera

I find the nothing wrong with their video, only I don't happen to be a fan of Backstreet Boys. As for the music videos, yes, I do think they are a good thing. Thought what irritates me are those same old generic rock videos with people getting paid to mosh while [insert band name] plays in front of them. Unfortunately, a lot of bands have done such a video.
