Doesn't everyone love poignant movies? Although I'm sure Big Butts Vol. II will be much appreciated, I have a few other (additional) options:

-Coal Miner's Daughter- I don't know if she already owns this on DVD, but it was much more than I was expecting when I saw it. It's probably right up her alley.

-Dig- I can't get it out of my head.... it's pretty emotional, in every direction. There are some crazy things that happen in a band, I always knew, but it turns out I had no idea.

-Be Here To Love Me: Townes Van Zandt- I don't know how many of you heard about this one, but I will make everyone I know sit down and watch it. He was such an amazing musical force, I can't believe there are people who haven't seen it yet.

I would definitely check out HEDWIG and the ANGRY INCH! Kind of a twisted story, but definitely makes a statement...

Oh yea, and as if you couldn't tell, I'm a huge Townes Van Zandt fan, and the movie about his life just came out on DVD....Be Here To Love Me....really unlike anything I have seen recently. Very "poignant" as you say, makes you think.
