An Appeal to the Community (country, members, Hang)

So I have a question for you guys that I'd appreciate an honest answer to because its bothering the **** out of me.

I'm seeing the girl. She has some odd preoccupation with race (shes mexican) but aside from that we get along great and I really enjoy her companey. Heres the problem:

I mentioned today how she and I were talking once and she said "I could never see myself dating a black guy." I took it as prefrences like "I could never date someone who...listened to country music". But when I brought it up with a bunch of friends tonight, they said she was racist.

So now I'm ****ed. Is she? Is there something wrong with that? I mean at first I grilled her on it and said "well if I was black, would you not date me?" I need outsiders opinions that can speak freely. I also need a place where no one can make the connection. We're family, right MB? I'm hoping you guys can help me out.

It depends, she might just not have an attraction to black people. Or she could have a KKK membership card. Take your pick man *hopes it is the first one because if not MB will have to face the wrath of Big3*

Not my wrath sir, just an undying depression. I was saving for her ring, now I might take up drinking. If the concencus is bad, I'll have to address it with her. I don't know, because we've talked of adoption, she wanted to adopt a black child, she wanted to have white kids (im white), and shes a mexican. If shes a racist, somethings no panning out, or im missing something glaring.

Hard to say. Maybe just ask her why she couldn't see herself dating a black man. It could be any of a number of reasons. She doesn't like curly hair, or whatever.

I wouldn't jump to any conclusions, nor would I go by what your friends say. This is not an issue that can be overlooked, like she doesn't like a certain food or something. If you're saving up to buy this girl a ring, you need to know what you're getting into, for your own peace of mind. Most importantly, you need to find out for yourself, by going straight to the source. No middleman, no heresay. Get it straight and uncut, so there's no confusion on the matter.

Tu che Jr. I just was wondering if it sounded overtly racist to anyone else. Most of MB would tell me flat out, so I came here.

No, she is not racist. Mexicans are hot, exchange students for the win.

Anyone who says she is racist is just being plain silly and that's the truth. People take everything as racist these days.

I don't see anything racist in it to be honest. It seems a bit strange that she wants to adopt black children and not date a black man though. Might be some crazy Mexican thing.

It's overely PC to call her racist for not being attracted to black people, if thats all you've got to work with.

Does she have any black friends? Does she speak low of black people around you? From what you've said she just seems unattracted to black people, thats all. It's a common prejudice, I mean I would have to be completely wooed to date an asian girl, but I still get along with them fine and don't speak poorly of them.

It's just a preferance thing B3.

I can't see anything wrong with it, I'm definately more attracted to some races over others. I'm not racist, hell I live with a japanese girl and a south african guy. but no doubt, If I saw a black girl, a white girl and an asian girl, all similar in appearance (and hot) I'd pick the black girl everytime. I just find that some black girls exude a certain sexuality that other girls don't, am I racist? My girlfriend is a white australian by the way. (Damn).
