Spain beat Saudi Arabia.
I'm pissed though. they played a poor game towards the end. If they continue playing the way theyd di today (while they did win) they won't make it far. I was almost ashamed to root for them.

Damn my ethnicity.

Of course, it's only polite.

I don't hate easy, but when that Argentinian dwarfish freak of nature hand-balled the goal and then had the audacity to claim it was the hand of God and never to this day admit to cheating...yes I still hold a grudge.

In fact it almost got me in trouble in Spain during the Holland V. Argentina game.
I got into an argument at a bar with some Argies, but they backed down on account of there only being 4 of them.

hehe...you go girl....
btw, he did in fact admit he cheated and he raised a very good question, he aimed it at the goaly of england, asking if he would have admited that the ball had crossed the line if he pulled it out and the judge didn't see it was in.....hypothetical situation naturally....i think you and i both know what the answer would be....there is no chivalry in football...teams and players will do anything to win....including blatant cheating...

The goalkeeper that day was Peter Shilton. After the game he called Maradona a cheat. After the game the worlds press called Maradona a cheat.
His response was that it was the "hand of God".
That's not an admission.
His statement incensed the English with it's arrogance.
Had he chose not to comment he may have been forgiven.
He didn't and he wasn't even man enough to admit it.

Your right about the analogy though mate.

Incidentally, the bar argument was about sovereignty of the Falklands. An issue raised by them and not me.

Mexico are playing well and this match is awesome.
Don't be surprised if it's settled by a classic piece of Argie chicanery though.
