My grandma is from Bundaberg, I would much rather be drinking ginger beer/rum in Australia than living in this cold shithole.

Good to hear you're enjoying it after the rental fiasco.
No power outages here, but plenty of surges so intermittent computers at work coupled with lights resetting= most of the day off.

More expected tomorrow and over the weekend so I will use the work ute as I don't want my car out in it.

yes, apparently rental prices back home are now higher than here in wanaka, so hearing that little tidbit of information made me feel quite differently. yes i'm having to pay high rent, but i'd MUCH rather have to pay it here, in a sick ski town, riding everyday, with an awesome group of people than stuck at home. it was raining a tiny bit last night, and cold enough that it woulda been snowing up top, but i doubt anything really accumulated, unless it was heavier up top than in town, i hear we're in for a massive dump over the weekend though, should be great seeing as how cardies opens in 5 days, and tc in 9!

yeah it's really warm at the moment here, but queenstown's had severe weather warnings issued for later this week, so we'll probably be in for another massive dump. the good thing about here is if it's 7 degrees in town, it'll be cold enough to snow up at top, so even if its raining, if you can see your breath, it'll be puking in the mountains. woot woot!

Typical too.

And the weather service was basically promising Snowstorm Armageddon, like they do everytime things get a little cold.
