yeah, he wasnt actually born on the 25th, the 25th was just alloted as a day of celebration of his birthday from a pagan holiday adapted for this purpose

I remember reading pagans celebrate winter solstice on the 25th, and something about all the Christmas traditions aren't just like pagan rituals they are pagan rituals.

and yeah, a lot of christian iconology is taken from pagan icons as well. ever notice how early paintings of jesus look a LOT like greek gods, how god himself is often described as a powerful, old man, with white hair and a white beard? looks a lot like this guy no?

haha, no, but the early christians did it to make the religious conversion easier on the people who worhiped the pagan gods. in early christian art, halos were depicted as ound, golden disks, borrowed from early egyptian art of Ra, the sun god

theres really very few original images in christian iconology, its all borrowed from earlier stuff
