Default Is this the end (of the world as we know it)?:sings:

All across Europe, spring weather for the past few weeks with temperatures up to 20 degrees Celsius, across the globe in America ice storms unseen in the past 50 years, down under heat waves and bush fires. And now there's a hurricane apparently heading our way. Is this global warming finally showing it's here to stay or just mother nature being a cyclical bitch?

Do you believe in global warming? American scientists don't naturally, because America is the worlds biggest polluter and powerful enough to show the middle finger to the Kyoto treaty.

What is more important, keeping a high level of industrial growth, securing jobs and a high standard of living for the present or ensuring a (good) future for generations to come?

What are you doing to help save the planet?*gives you the evils*[Little Britain reference]

I skateboard everywhere.

Also this weather is ridiculous, i'm tired of all this snow.

Though I have managed to almost write my name in the snow, not once but twice. It took some practice, alot of times I would waste too much on the E, but I eventually made it to Eth.

Most American Scientists support the "theory" [it isn't a theory it's fact!] of global warming. It's the press that runs the crazy people's reports. And there are a bunch of individual cities that support the Kyoto treaty dispite America's as a whole's idiocy. I wish we started making more hybrid cars and had a good public transportation system.

Insightful and enlightening as always.

Swim, global warming is just a theory! Seriously, despite the fact that it's relatively easy to prove the planet's climate is changing, I think it isn't so easy to prove humans are (solely) responsible for it. As we've all learned, our planet has gone though numerous such changes, most of which were much more dramatic than those we're experiencing right now. I remember hearing about some research about the effect underwater volcanic gas emissions have on global warming and the ozone layer. Surely we couldn't have made such an impact in such a short period of time?

None were as dramatic as the ones now actually.

I beg to differ, unless you call the various ice ages undramatic.

Quite right, infact, one cow is more pollutant than the average car.

Edit: Although I do think Global Warming is more than just a theory, I do think it has some proof about it. I mean unless the sun is all of a sudden burning hotter, I find it strange that after thousands of years these icebergs have decided to start rapidly melting.

We had the wettest august in years, it is way too warm to be winter. And we have the strongest windforces! They're almost hurricanes!

And this is not normal for Holland...

I always believed in global warming, but I think it really is showing right now. The only thing I do about it is taking my bike everywhere, instead of having my parents bring me with the car. And I close my window to keep warmth inside, instead of turning up the heat.

Just too bad that I seem to be one of few who even take such slight measures...
