Not a bad price if its good weed. And the crystals and red hair just means there is more THC (which is what you want). So the flashier it is, tends to mean its better weed. Usually you can just tell by the smell though.

I'm not sure if this has been touched upon yet, but THC you can not overdose on, the rest you can. So what is the best drug now?

What? You live in Pittsburgh and you think that $130 is a GOOD price for 1/2 ounce? Dealers traffic hundreds of pounds through Charrington every day, and it's like $150 at most for an ounce of good-quality bud.

And just so you know, flashiness isn't necessarily an indication of good weed. Sure, strands like Acapulco Gold, Panama Red, and White Widow have unusuallly high concentrations of THC and they're pretty flashy, but most deviations in color are just differences in chlorophyll levels. In fact, from my experience, a lot of flashy weed can be bad. Designer labeled weeds that showcase a menagerie of colors are notorious for their lack of THC, because growers introduce new plants for hybridization. Without an adequate presence of cannabis, the THC levels drop dramatically. I've smoked some flashy stuff, and no matter how many bowls I packed I just got a slight lightheaded buzz.

From my experience, the smell is a much surer way to determine quality. Stinky weed is good.

Wrong. Conventional methods of using nicotine and caffeine prevent you from ingesting more than your body can handle at any one time. It's like drinking beer. You can't get alcohol poisoning from just drinking beer. You throw up or you pass out before you can ingest enough. Furthermore, there are no known cases of overdose on LSD or psychedelic mushrooms. Just bad trips.

And actually, most overdoses are not actually "over" doses, they're just instances when two drugs interact (to the misfortune of the victim). Countless people die each year because they don't realize that.

Caffeine pills is a relatively conventional way of taking caffeine (if you're a truck driver anyway) and that shit can kill you. And if you confused your conventional method of smoking cigarettes a bit and ate one or three it could probably kill you too.

No kidding, caffeine pills can kill you. But most deaths are sleep apnea related, not actual overdoses (the LD 50 is ridiculous - like 50 grams or so). And eating filter-free cigarettes is much better for you than smoking them. The amount of nictotine in a cigarette is minute - about 1.1 mg, and your body would absorb that much more slowly than inhaling it. I don't see how you could possibly die from an overdose that way.

EDIT: Okay, so it's not 50 grams. Wikipedia says 192 mg/kg, which would be approximately 12-18 g. That's still more than a whole bottle of pills.

I've OD'd on caffeine before, on about 1 gram and felt like I was going to die. I read somewhere that the LD50 was 7 grams which still freaked me out. Obviously I've never had that kind of experience with pot. As for cigarettes, it's not the nicotine that would kill you from eating them but all the other toxic sh1t they put in there. So I guess that doesn't really count. Whatever.

1: The prices are not bad at all. I have bought weed in many places around the country including California where weed is extremely cheap. If its good quality Headies or brand name weed then 130 a half O is a very reasonable price.

2: Flashiness is a great way to determine if your weed is good. For instance most good weed looks way better because of the amount of crystals on the outside of he bud, and the number of red strands. That combined with smell can almost always tell you if its good weed or not. But as you said im sure there are some exceptions.

3: I have come across about 4 strains that did not smell like much. Seemed average beasters, or maybe even good mids, but turned out to be as potent as some much more expensive bud.

All of you guys who know an absurd amount about pot...what? Who cares, if it works, it's wonderful. Weed is among the least interesting subjects ever. The reason you smoke weed is to do things and talk about things more interesting than horticulture.

ok first off, you can OD on acid, you can OD on shrooms and you can OD on pot. although you wont die you can over dose. pot; you pass the **** out. acid; perma-trip. and as for mushrooms your a fool to think that you cant die from something that prepares your body to die. you can die from taking to many of some kinds of shrooms.
