You know looking back on it, I think Christopher Hitchens deserves a mention. Yeah I said some positive things about him in the past but overall I think he's a massive d*ck.
It's odd that such a guy could actually have a liberal following which only shows how f*cking stupid some liberals are, granted I think it's awesome when he goes after religion, though he never says anything really new or informative about it. No, it's because he's an incredbly sexist douchef*ck who justifies the iraq war logic more baffling than what any FoxNews pundit could ever come up with. I don't know why this guy is considered such a top notch intellectual, anyone who writes an article called "Why women aren't funny" is clearly just a high class troll. |

I know he doesn't consider himself pro bush or anything, no Republican dares to associate himself with a guy like Hitchens, like any pundit worth his salt he knows how to present himself as an independent thinker, and admittingly he's less of a bandwagoner than most. Still a bigoted ******* though. Quote:
But I dunno, being a huge bigot kinda gets in the way of understanding liberalism isn't it? ....Then again there's a lot of bigoted democrats so what do I know? Quote:
Seriously, I watched him give interviews about it and he failed to come across with what you're describing, to me he just comes off as a sexist douchebag. If he actually wanted to make a reasonable article about how people pressure men to be funny and not women, which is a reasonable argument a liberal could make, then for the love of god don't call it "why women aren't funny" and then clearly say something as retarded as "women are only funny when they imitate men" or whatever, to call that a mixed message is a severe understatement. If this is how today's "intellectuals" have to make a point, by clearly trolling the sh*t out of people they disagree with, then it's no wonder the older generation looks down upon us. |

I think there's a lot of women who are just as hilarious as men are. Women clearly have a great sense of humor, I just think they are more picky as to what they find funny.
I do hate the "men are pigs" Elayne Boosler kinda comedians but eh. When Hitchens says there are more bad female comedians than male comedians that's a big logical fallacy, if there's a lot more male comedians than female comedians in the world, how could there be more bad female ones? I think that's just a stupid generalization. |

Wasn't he just a ruler in a region that's now part of Romania who was perhaps on the harsh side of cruel? He did warring and reigning, but I'm not so sure he did all the impaling and torturing himself .. I mean, isn't that what lackeys and such are for?
