WW2 first thing to come to mind because so much was lost during it.

2009, at a funeral.

I wish that Columbus and Cortez the Killer had got lost in the Atlantic so that the indigenous people of the Americas hadn't been overrun by European settlers.

Thanks to MB I listen to more prog and Krautrock than I ever expected to.

Funeral, one year ago.

Don't really know what's current or upcoming, but I wish there were more seasons of Modern Family. I've watched 'em all, twice.
