Steals his promises
|
I was trolling through CAKE's website reading the weekly poll question and it seems one of the forum topics was about how "The Distance" was given to American Idol so the contestants could remake it for a Ford commercial.
Of course no one in the band was asked whether or not they would approve of this (the suits could probably guess they wouldn't) but after one of the band members wrote about how they were not happy with the decision, one poster reminded us that CAKE was not alone. Apparently these artists have also been hijacked by Ford: Bob Marley Modest Mouse Queen Rolling Stones Cat Stevens The Kinks Does anyone know what songs Ford has used without band approval, and which ones aren't listed here for any companey?

why does what matter? That a global corporation stole a song to increase their own sales against the wishes of the artists?
Or something else? Because when I pirate I don't make 200,000 of something i'm selling.
