Israel's Birthday

This is not a thread celebrating it. This is a thread asking whether or not you consider it moral or right. Whether or not Israel has a right to exist. I'm asking because today I saw people protesting outside my synogagues with signs along the lines of '60 years of land theft isn't something to celebrate'. Thoughts?

I think anyone who does not vote "isreal should exist" is a complete and utter fool.

Isreal bought the land, plain and simple. There was no theft, just a simple purchase which the sellers did not like after they had done it.

They did not think the jews would use the land as there homeland, and after the fact tried getting there land back by basically saying the jews stole it from them.

Plllease dont get me started on this issue, its absurd.

Well, actually Palestine was a British Territory and the British pulled out in '47 then the U.N. moved in and divvied the land up.

How about asking do the Palestinians have a right to their own country?

So? It's there now and isn't going to simply stop existing because some people on the internet decided it shouldn't. These kind of "debates (I use this term loosely)" go nowhere.

I think there's plenty of shitty things both sides have done to the other but I don't think either nation should be annihilated because of that. So no, I don't think Israel should cease to exist.

Shouldn't exist, no right, no need, complete lack of ethics involved in it's creation. It was the first state built by terrorists, and thus will always be a terrorist state.
