Our choices are awful.

We have two completely fake people who have sold their political souls.

Are you a kiwi?

Maybe it's just me and I am not really into the 'tradition' of America, but I don't really care about gun laws at all. They could be completely banned or have scars legal to citizens for all I care. I never have owned a gun and never plan on it. My neighbor's cousin in VW had a friend die because they were both drunk and fighting each other.

It's just like an accident waiting to happen.

Yeah, we need just some more intelligent people. President used to be a spot of prestige, but I rarely see people shooting for it now. They'd rather be a wealthy CEO than be president. We need to stop electing people like Carter, Reagan, and Bush, who seem like one of those honest and nice people. Well they are, but they f*cked over the country too.

I feel the same to some degree. Gun laws don't effect me personally. I don't think they should be banned completely however, because that will cause more problems than there are already. (Remember when they tried to ban liquor?)
But, born and raised in Wyoming, I know a lot of people who use guns to hunt for their food. Not in sport, but for survival.

I didn't know that that's where Obama stood on gun control, though.
It's kind of a blow...

you'd be correct.

i'm simply not voting this time around as none of the options are worth considering. either way this country's on the skids. we're already in the grip of a recession and i can't see it improving soon

The second amendment is still important. It not only grants you the right to protect yourself, but if it were ever necesary it also grants you protection from the government. I doubt we'll ever see a time where it'll happen, but if the government went against its people it is important that we have the ability to defend ourselves from it. (I don't mean just poor decision making, I mean more of a violent police state type deal.)

I know. And that's why I don't care too much, because it will never happen. Just like how if we give guns to everyone there won't be a massive rebellion either.

People make too big a deal about it. Espicially my aunt who is the epitome of 'Think of the children!' and is for banning every gun except a bright orange handgun with a 3mm caliber and crooked barrel. And my dad's cousin who I swear acts like he was born in the 1800s.
