I understand what you are saying but it was'nt a case of him blowing the cinematic world apart and then becoming a pisshead. Many early roles were in 2 bit B movies and small roles in Hammer films. He was always a pisshead, but he just found out along the way that he was quite a good actor.

what the hell is she going on about? This is the difference. Reed turned up on time and did his lines consumately, then he got wankered. Appearing on stage like that is tragic.
